Cheese FondueA friendly informal way of eating. A melting pot of Swiss cheeses in a thick based pot and kept at simmering point. A selection of dippers or dunkers are offered, harpooned on a fork and plunged into a cheesy / alcoholic concoction.

An old Swiss custom which can be great fun for whoever drops a cube of bread into the fondue must carry out a forfeit. A woman must kiss every man present and if it’s a man, he has to buy a bottle of wine for each guest. If anyone loses their bread a second time, they have to give the next fondue party!!! At Gina’s place of course!

Express Fondue!

Take one cylindrical box of cheese / we sell; Camembert, mont dior, cremeaux de juva, which is perfect …… Score the top in 4. Push a clove of garlic in each quarter. Pour over a little wine. Top with rosemary. Replace lid and pop in the oven at 160’ for 10 mins. Cut ‘day old bread’ into cubes. Stick at the end of a fork + dunk to your heart’s content.
